Ashley Phillips: Self Portrait

Hello, I'm Ashley. I'm a sophomore here at Albertus studying Communications. Although I'm in Digital Photography II, I still decided to post a self portrait for this first post. Hopefully I'll be able to experiment a bit more with my photography this semester and expand my knowledge on photoshop.

This is Me!

Hiiiii my name is Colleen DeTullio. I am a Communications major at Albertus Magnus. I have absolutly no experience in taking pictures and ususally just take them for fun with friends while out partying or hangingout. So hopefully I will learn how to take better pictures and how to edit them. In this picture the further image of myself is actually taken in a bigger mirror but with the camera focusing on me looking in the smaller mirror. I think it looks cool! Except for the mirror being a bit dirty..haha make up spill! I look forward to seeing other people's images and interpretations!

Reflection in the Mirror

Hi everyone, my name is Ruba and I am a senior. My major is Psychology with a concentration in Art Therapy and minor in Art. This self-portrait is taken at home in front of a mirror. See you around the blog!!!

Hey

Hi, my name Jon and I am a freshman here at albertus. I am a finance major and I am on the baseball team. I have always been interested in photography but this is actually the first time I have ever owned a camara, or even use photoshop so all this is new to me.

Mysterious Self Portrait

What's good? My name's Leanna and I'm a Junior. My major is Communications and I play on the Women's Soccer team at Albertus. I'm originally from New Haven, so I didn't stray far from home.

Hey y'all!

Whats up guys, I'm Matt. I'm a business major and I'm graduating in the spring. I made this picture quickly just so I could post something on here. There are two layers here, one of me sitting on a rock smoking a cigarette (I know, smoking is bad...) and one of trees from last fall.

Self Portrait

Hey my name's Kate. This is not my first time working with a camera, but this is my first time ever working within the digital spectrum, as well as with photo shop. I'm a darkroom girl for sure, and all this is a little foreign to me as I have always been used to working with chemicals, and film. I love film, but I've come to the realization that I need to kind of update and join the rest of the world and go digital. I see both the pros and cons of digital because I feel the fine art of the 35mm is going to die. So farewell to film and onto digital for now....

Self Portrait

Hi my name is Domenic, I'm a transfer student from Keene State in NH. I took this in my bathroom after i had brushed my teeth and noticed my reflection in the sink. This is my second semester here at Albertus an I'm enjoying it so far and i hope to post more pictures soon!

Dancer's Feet

Hey!
I'm Kelly Matera, a freshman here at AMC, and a prospective English major. I have never taken a digital photography class before so everything is completely new to me. For my self-portrait, I chose this picture of my feet, which was originally a color photograph, to represent my creative nature--I took ballet for almost seven years and am a dancer at heart. This picture was surprisingly hard to shoot because I had a hard time remaining balanced and still while positioning my camera for the perfect shot.

Toenails

I was sitting next to a classmate and as she was showing me her pictures she was also explaing to me why she took pictures of her hands and feet. While she was in a photo class last semester and her professor was saying how you can see the lines and the specific texture in your hands and feet while it is in black and white. I was in my room that night and thought "hey i'm going to take a picture of my hands and feet" I wanted to keep the color of my toenails to give it some color but then I also wanted to keep it black and white.
Well here it is.
